A native of Wisconsin, pianist Joseph Hauer is Artistic Director of the Fox River Chamber Fest and Music Director of St. Gabriel Catholic Parish (Hubertus).
He was formerly an artist-in-residence at the Apollo Music Festival and the Bermuda Piano Festival. He has soloed with the Oberlin Orchestra, Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra, Madison Symphony Orchestra and Fox Valley Symphony Orchestra, and performs periodically with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra.
Currently, Joseph rehearses and performs with the UWM Opera Theater Department and works with students 1-on-1 throughout the UWM music department across all instruments and disciplines.
Prior to moving to Milwaukee, Joseph served on the Adjunct Faculty at NYU Steinhardt. He performs jazz piano at various venues in Milwaukee and is an artist for hire through The Entertainment Company, Intl., LLC.
He has Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Piano Performance, and took jazz lessons with Milwaukee great Mark Davis.
